IP Tech-Transfer

TxIS’ Intellectual Property Tech-Transfer Division works closely with the Institute’s Global Research Alliance of more than 15,000 professors and research scientists, working at over 1,800+ departments at 190+ universities and research institutes located primarily in Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union, to identify new inventions, innovations and technologies that have commercial applicability in the West.

TxIS qualifies an innovation or invention as an IP, when it is:

  • Laboratory level
  • Unprotected
  • Unpublished
  • Undisclosed

TxIS’ IP Tech-Transfer Division’s function is to mine these IPs, and provide:

  • Commercial evaluation
  • Global prior art and prior publication search
  • Financing
  • Legal protection services

TxIS then constructs a commercially viable package consisting of:

  • A working proof-of-concept
  • TxIS’ result on global search for prior art and prior publication
  • Filed Provisional, Utility, and/or PCT applications
  • An executed Tech Transfer Agreement (TTA) with the inventors and owners.
  • The TTA insures that upon purchase of the package, TxIS' Client will own the IP.
IP Business Model

TxIS has developed a matrix of several hundred consultants who assist the Institute in evaluating the potential value of a submitted IP. The historical average ratio between submitted IPs and packages is slightly less than 6%.
