Business Model
TxIS’ business model and services might look unique and revolutionary today, but data compiled since 2005 shows that it will be an accepted norm within five years. The Institute has seen a 60% increase in the acceptance of our business mode by its new clients between 2007-2009.
- TxIS is a for profit company
- Top level definition:TxIS utilizes Eastern Scientific resources to serve Western Research, Development and Application Engineering needs.
- TxIS manages its resources on behalf of its clients. The Institute is responsible for the on-time, at-budget completion of the engagement.
- TxIS recognizes that many R&D and technology-related problems encountered by industrial companies:
- Require technical specialties that are not part of the existing engineering team ; or
- Fall “below the line” due to financial constraints or other priorities.
Unfortunately, many of these problems if not addressed and solved eventually lead to serious performance problems or operational issues that can potentially cost the company millions of dollars.
- The Institute relies on its Global Research Alliance of more than 15,000 university professors and research scientists to address the needs of our prospective clients.
- TxIS in effect increases its clients' access to R&D and engineering resources by more than 15,000 professors and research scientists, who are:
- ready to work on day-to-day application, test, modeling or improvement problems,
- able to assist the client in completing ongoing development, providing the client’s R&D staff with just-in-time additional workforce, or
- qualified to work on new theories and fundamental research to create new product.
- TxIS prides itself on providing the most dynamic, most versatile and most client-oriented augmentation services of its kind in the US.
- Most of our engagements are born out of:
- Clients’ problems as a project.
- Technology Trend investigation (Whitepaper).
- Patent gap analysis.
- Finding all relevant technologies to protect existing patents.
- Legally circumvent a competitor’s patent by finding alternative technologies.
- Advising service companies in their technology disputes with their vendors.
- Assist clients in creating solutions that clients can hand over to their suppliers for serial manufacturing.
- TxIS’ sole interest is to assist its clients' technology group to perform at the highest level. By working with Eastern scientists, TxIS has no intention of replacing its clients’ technology groups with a more affordable workforce. In fact, TxIS' agreement, signed by its clients, specifically forbids the client from hiring scientists introduced by TxIS.
